Managing Permit Codes

Permit codes are the access keys that residents use to register for parking. Each code belongs to a code group, and code groups determine which parking options are available.

Code groups

A code group is a collection of codes that share the same parking type and configuration. For example, a property might have one code group for surface lot permits and another for underground carport permits.

Dual-code pattern

Properties that offer multiple parking types often use a dual-code pattern — each unit receives one code from each code group. The Traffic Cop system then routes the user to the correct registration flow based on which code they enter.

Managing codes

From the admin interface, you can view all codes and their assignments, create new codes, assign codes to units, deactivate codes, and view usage history for each code.
