Creating and Configuring Parking Types
Parking types define the different kinds of parking available at a property — such as resident permits, visitor parking, reserved carports, or contractor parking. Each type has its own registration flow, rules, and duration.
Common parking types
- Resident Parking Permit — Long-term permits for residents. May require a code to register and can be set to auto-renew with recurring billing.
- Guest/Visitor Parking — Short-term permits (typically 24 hours) for visitors. May have per-plate or per-unit usage limits.
- Reserved Carport — Assigned stalls that use the Stall Picker for map-based selection.
- Contractor/Vendor Parking — Temporary parking for service providers working at the property.
Configuration options
When creating a parking type, you define: the name and description (which can be translated for multi-language properties), the registration flow, duration and renewal rules, any code requirements, usage limits, and which stall areas apply.
