If you received a parking citation but believe you had permission from your property manager to park in that location, the claim must be verified directly by property management before any cancellation can be considered.

iStall affiliated Parking Operators enforce parking rules based on the instructions and policies provided by the property owner or property manager. Enforcement officers do not have authority to waive citations based solely on claims of permission.

For this reason, any claim of special authorization must be confirmed by the property manager responsible for the property.

What To Do If You Believe You Had Permission to Park

If you were instructed by your property manager to park in a location where a citation was issued, you must ask the property manager to confirm this authorization.

The easiest way to do this is:

  1. Appeal your citation

  2. Immediately reply to the citation appeal acknowledgement.

  3. CC your property manager or building management office.

  4. Ask them to confirm that permission was granted for your vehicle to park in that location.

Once management confirms the authorization, the enforcement team can review the request and determine whether the citation should be cancelled.

Why Manager Confirmation Is Required

Parking rules vary by property and can change temporarily due to:

  • Maintenance work

  • Temporary stall relocations

  • Construction or repairs

  • Resident accommodation requests

  • Administrative errors

Because these situations are managed by property staff, enforcement teams rely on property management to confirm when exceptions have been granted.

Important Notes

  • Citations cannot be cancelled based solely on a resident’s claim of permission.

  • Verification must come directly from property management.

  • If management confirms authorization, the citation will be reviewed for cancellation.
