Registration types and their meanings
Code-Based Registration
Explanation: Requires all visitors to have a code (either alpha-numeric or just numeric) to be able to register for parking.
Recommended For: Residential or commercial parking lots
Daily/Hourly Visitor Parking
Explanation: Free visitor parking for a specified amount of time. If a kiosk at each retail building at a location is being used, the length can vary for each retail building.
Recommended For: Parking lots surrounded by multiple retail locations
Monthly Recurring Registration
Explanation: Monthly parking; needs one registration and then automatically re-occurs the following month
Recommended For: Residential buildings, schools and offices
Monthly Code-Required Registration
Explanation: Monthly parking; needs one registration and then automatically re-occurs the following month
Recommended For: Residential buildings, schools and offices close to busy retail locations
Weekly Registration
Explanation: 7-day visitor parking
Recommended For: Hotels, or locations that have paid parking but will need to give access to maintenance workers for a time
Restricted Plate Registration (Or Restricted Plate Unit Registration)
Explanation: A restricted amount of visitors are able to register per unit, per month. With unit registration, the visitor is required to supply the unit number they are visiting.
Recommended For: Residential buildings with limited visitor parking stalls
Restricted Visitor
Explanation: A certain number of registrations per vehicle, in a specified amount of time.
Recommended For: Retail locations
Seasonal
Explanation: Registrations available between a specified time frame
Recommended For: Lots that only require a specific registration for a certain time

Visitor
Explanation: Free parking for visitors, for a specified amount of time. Visitors can register online with the Location ID, or they can register in-store at a kiosk.
Recommended For: Public lots with multiple retail locations
